Community Involvement
Northrop Grumman understands the importance of building a community where everyone is valued, treated with respect and has equal access to opportunities. Whether you want to volunteer, engage in social activities or meet like-minded people, there’s many ways you can get involved.
Northrop Grumman is proud to have a variety of different Employee Resource Groups that create collaboration across people and communities, build employee engagement and belonging and enhance company culture. ERGs’ membership and events are inclusive and open to all employees.
Volunteering helps drive employee engagement and well-being, while making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Northrop Grumman’s company-sponsored volunteer activities are aimed to help increase access to the technical workforce, address barriers to education and the workforce and build healthy, sustainable communities. Volunteering is encouraged for all employees as a way to network, team build and develop leadership skills while making a difference.
The MyGiving portal makes volunteering and charitable giving easy. Through the portal, you can:
- Find and submit volunteer events.
- Log your volunteer hours to qualify for a Community Service Grant.
- Register for Employees Charity Organization (ECHO) workplace giving.
- Apply for Matching Gifts for Education.
Northrop Grumman offers $500 grants in recognition of employees' dedication to volunteerism. You can apply for a Community Service Grant for a qualifying non-profit or school by logging 40 or more volunteer hours in the MyGiving portal.
Employees Charity Organization (ECHO)
ECHO enables turnkey payroll contributions to qualifying non-profits and schools. Northrop Grumman pays all the administrative costs, which ensures 100% of the tax-deductible donations go directly to the causes you care about.
The Northrop Grumman Foundation's Matching Gifts for Education program is designed to acknowledge and support Northrop Grumman employees' personal commitment to education. Matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis, verified personal donations for education from $50 to $2,500 are eligible. The Foundation will match four gifts, per employee/donor, per fiscal year, Nov. 1 – Oct. 31. The match total will not exceed the maximum of $2,500 for all donations.
Note: ECHO, Matching Gifts for Education and the My Giving portal are not available to international employees at this time.
