Becoming A Caregiver
If you are providing care for an elderly or ill relative we know it can feel like full-time job in itself. For many who have found themselves as part of the sandwich generation, caring for your children and parents, it can become especially difficult balancing work and family responsibilities.
Northrop Grumman's benefits are growing to support you. Here you’ll find benefits and resources to consider as you navigate becoming a caregiver.
Full time and part-time (20 hours or more per week) employees with one or more years of service are eligible for two weeks (up to 80 hours)* of paid leave to care for a spouse, domestic partner, parent or child with a serious health condition. Our Paid Caregiver Leave must be initiated through Aflac and can be taken intermittently or continuously. If approved, employees would receive up to 100% of their base pay.
Union employees should refer to their CBA for eligibility.
*Prorated for part-time employees
