Fall is Here!

The kids are back in school, the leaves are changing, pumpkin-themed decorations fill stores and, of course, college football kicks off – yes – autumn is almost here, which means it’s time for our favorite fall activities.

Whether you’re a football fanatic or pumpkin picking is more your thing, autumn has something for everyone to enjoy. Check out these popular fall activities and be sure to enjoy everything the season has to offer.

Football Season

For many of us, football is the first thing that comes to mind when we think about fall. Fans across the country wait all year for that first whistle to blow as their favorite team takes the field. It’s the time of year where family and friends come together to celebrate their favorite rivalries, share gameday rituals and debate which conference is the best – all while enjoying gameday snacks and food.

We all show our football spirit differently. Some people are more subtle in their approach. They might wear socks or a pin with their team colors. Others are bolder, plastering team prints and stadium posters around their office space. No matter what your style is, take advantage of discounted NFL tickets with Beneplace and don’t forget to catch a few college games at your favorite college or university.

Have you ever wondered what the most popular NFL football team is at Northrop Grumman? Well, we have too. Let us know what team you root for and we’ll share the results in our October issue.

Festivals

Football isn’t the only popular fall event! From Oktoberfests to county fairs, you can find fall-themed celebrations in just about every state.

If you’re in Utah, don’t miss Ogden’s Harvest Moon Celebration where the community says goodbye to the summer season with musical performances and even stilt walkers. Or if you’re in Virginia, make sure to catch the Graves Mountain Resort Apple Harvest Festival where you can enjoy a great selection of activities, including picking your own apples in the orchard.

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Although not everyone will experience sweater weather when the autumn solstice takes over, we can all enjoy the sweet and savory tastes of fall. After all, fall doesn’t officially start without a Pumpkin Spice Latte, right?

Fall is a great time to make your favorite soups and stews or entertain guests with entrees and sides that warm the soul such as vegetable and chicken noodle soups or your tried-and-true Thanksgiving items. Check out these healthy and delicious fall recipes.
