A Dependent Day Care FSA allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible dependent day care expenses while you’re working. For more information, view IRS Publication 503.

Eligible expenses include day care* for your child under age 13 (or your disabled dependent over age 13) provided:

  • In your home

  • At a licensed day care or after-school center

  • At summer camp

*Day care must be necessary to allow you and your spouse to work.

Dependent Care FSAs are administered by Fidelity. You can visit NetBenefits to access your FSA account balance and claim verifications, along with information and resources for your other Fidelity-administered plans and programs

Back-up Care Advantage offers employees a safety net for those days when regular care arrangements fall through and you need to be at work. Back-up care supplements these arrangements and is a comforting emergency alternative when you need it the most.

Take advantage of up to 10 unplanned/emergency back-up child care or adult/elder care sessions per year at a nominal fee when your regular care provider isn’t available. Options include center-based or in-home care.

Through the back-up care advantage program, Bright Horizon offers tutoring for 5-18 year olds for a nominal fee.

Northrop Grumman knows that educating your child can be a very stressful and time-consuming task for you and your family. Bright Horizons offers College Coach, a free benefit to employees that provides access to experts who have worked at top colleges and can give you the guidance needed to help you prepare for college, beginning in elementary school.

Understand, advocate for, and support your child from birth to young adulthood with personalized guidance and resources. Bright Horizon’s special needs program is a free benefit for employees. The program provides support for children of all abilities and features a platform with extensive resources and tools (by state) for navigating all phases of the special education journey; from diagnosis through IEPs, 504 plans and transition to adulthood.

Features include:

  • Personalized guidance from an advisor who is matched with your family to address your child’s unique needs
  • An interactive website that will help you better understand, advocate for and support your child
  • Expert webinars covering a range of social, learning, attention and developmental challenges

Each year, scholarships in the amount of $2,000 are awarded to the children of full-time and part-time employees (20 or more hours a week). The National Merit Scholarships and Northrop Grumman Special Scholarships offer 55 awards and Northrop Grumman Scholarships for Employees’ Children provides up to 130 scholarships. As a parent, sometimes getting out of the house to go to a doctors appoint seems like an impossible task. Telemedicine through LiveHealthOnline allows you and your family members to visit with a board-certified doctor in the comfort of your home by using a smartphone, tablet or computer with a webcam for non-urgent services like pinkeye, a cold, the flu, a fever, rashes, infections, allergies or other common health conditions. No appointments, no driving and no waiting at an urgent care center. Doctors are available 24/7 and, if needed, they can send a prescription to your local pharmacy. Free lactation support is also available.

Dermatologists, and psychologists are also available by appointment seven days a week – costs vary depending on your medical plan and type of service. Consultants are also available to discuss your concerns and provide personalized advice.

You can use LiveHealth Online regardless of whether or not you’re enrolled in a Medical Plan. For Medical health services, employees enrolled in an Anthem plan pay $10 per visit. All others pay $59 per visit.

Kaiser members can access telemedicine video visits at no additional charge. Behavioral health services (Psychologist, Therapist, or Psychiatrist) cost vary based on the type of service and your medical plan. Please contact Quantum Health for cost specifics.

The NGCare Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free confidential guidance and mental health support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through NGCare, you and your household members are eligible for eight free counseling sessions per issue each year.

One of the many counseling services offered is relationship or family counseling. Being able to express both positive and negative feelings and solve problems together are keys to a successful and happy family. Talking with a counselor together can help couples and families strengthen their bond and improve their communication skills.
