At Northrop Grumman, we know that a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and life‑changing. You are not alone. This page outlines the benefits and resources available to help support you and your family throughout your care journey.

Medical Care & Rx

Anthem Members

Support

Get dedicated support from a team of nurses, claims specialists, care coordinators, and benefits experts throughout your cancer care. Your care coordinator can help you find in‑network doctors and facilities and understand how to use your Anthem benefits.

Pre‑certifications for services like chemotherapy, radiation, biopsies, surgeries, and PET scans are managed for you as part of your Anthem coverage. Oncology nurses review these services using National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines, and services not covered by NCCN are reviewed by a physician and an oncologist to support appropriate care.

You’ll also receive ongoing nurse support, with check‑ins for you and your caregivers at least monthly. They can explain your coverage and connect you to resources such as critical care benefits, disability programs, FMLA, the employee assistance program (EAP), second‑opinion tools, nutrition resources, Centers of Excellence, and eligible travel and lodging benefits, helping to reduce clinical, financial, and personal barriers during your cancer journey.

These services are delivered on Anthem’s behalf by Quantum Health.

Progyny Fertility Benefits

Coverage includes fertility preservation when treatment or a cancer diagnosis may affect future fertility. This  applies to members, their partners and dependent children under age 26 enrolled in an Anthem plan. Fertility preservation is covered through the Smart Cycle benefit: egg freezing uses ½ Smart Cycle, and sperm freezing uses ¼ Smart Cycle.

You also have unlimited access to a Progyny Patient Care Advocate (PCA) for clinical information, emotional support, and education, including onco‑fertility needs. PCAs can explain your options, share resources, and help expedite appointments—often aiming to get you into a clinic the same or next day when possible.

Rx Savings Solutions (RxSS)

Managing prescription costs can be especially important during cancer treatment. Rx Savings Solutions (RxSS) is a free, confidential service that helps you lower your prescription drug costs. Northrop Grumman partners with RxSS, which connects with your Anthem health plan and CVS, to show you lower‑cost options for your medications whenever they’re available.

You can review these suggestions with your doctor, or call the RxSS team of certified pharmacy technicians, who can help manage the switch on your behalf. To get started, activate or log in to your account at myrxss.com/northropgrumman.
